Day 18: 30 Days of Gratitude - The Olsen Boys

Jack and Daniel are two of the coolest guys I know.   On Saturday, I was lucky enough to get to spend the afternoon ice skating with them.  We all bundled into our warmest gear and were off to the Gallivan Center for an afternoon of learning to ice skate.    Joc, Jack and Daniel all managed to get to the ice rink, find appropriate skates and shuffle to the ice without incident.

Now the real fun begins!!!   Our ice skating adventure started with both boys clutching the wall like a life preserver in shark infested waters.  However, after a few times around they were really getting the hang of it.   As the ice rink was illuminated with giant flood lights, our little skating stars started to shine with shouts of "let's go faster", "watch me Joc", "let's slam into the wall" and "just one more time" around the rink.  We ended our evening with big milkshakes and dinner at Blue Plate....all and all a wonderful way to spend a Saturday afternoon.   Thanks boys for letting me play today!

GALLIVAN CENTER ICE RINK: DECEMBER 2010
Here are a few of the things that make these guys so special to me:

JACKSON: I love his curiosity about the world around him.   Jackson is always investigating, learning, reading, asking, experimenting, challenging.   I love that since the age of two, I have been able to have real conversations with this little fella.  I love his confidence and self assurance....he is truly an amazing individual.

DANIEL: The dreamer.  I love his imagination and optimism.   He sees the world in such a wonderful and unique way.   I love the way he admires and imitates his older brother.  He is also hilarious....suddenly throwing out a quote from a movie, song or book with perfect comedic timing.   One top of all of these qualities, Daniel is scary smart.....I am amazed by the things he understands, remembers and relates.   He is beautiful in every way.

LUKE: Although a bit to small for our ice skating adventure.....This little boy could charm anyone (especially me).  I melt every time he walks up to me, holds out his arms and declares "hold you".   I love how each time I walk into the Olsen house, he runs up see see me filled with excitement and usually doing the "Jocy Face" (this is really something you have to see in person to understand).   He is super naughty (which I secretly admire), interested in everything (which I think is fabulous) and one of the sweetest people I know.
